It’s About Time
Time is the most valuable resource we work with on a daily basis – unless you happen to work in oil prospecting or diamond sales.
By far and away the most expensive use of time is ineffective collaboration – trying to make progress when our collaborators seem to have a different agenda, the wrong idea, or nothing to add.
How might we solve this problem?

Employers want motivated, capable, innovative, doers. Employees want opportunity to grow, autonomy to act, meaningful work, recognition for their efforts.
Sounds like there is a lot of overlap there. So, what gives?

making progress is hard
Making a difference is hard.
It's a bit like sailing. You can sail against the wind – which is what it’s like in life when we are trying to make a difference, or embed a change, or do something new.
Instead, if you sail off at an angle, you can make progress even though you’re still traveling against the wind.
